1 Day!

Ride leaves tomorrow! Grab you're shit and go man. Hopefully everyone's bikes are up and running and ready for the ride. 150 miles should be cake for most bikes. Once we get where we;re going, we'll have time to relax, drink, get some food and maybe even putt our way over to my buddy Pete's place for some extracurricular activity.

Chase truck problemo has been narrowly avoided thanks to Tom and his son Jake. Weather appears to be perfect, beer is loaded and raffle prizes are being divided tonight! Rock n Roll. See you there. - Brian

NOTICE: If you have a truck and would be willing to drive along behind the group for the weekend, please contact me ASAP at info@speedclubinc.com! If you've got a truck, I've got the trailer and Ill cover your gas.

Ride Update

We're 11 days out! Nuts man! The ride is coming on quick. Here are some updates. The site (thewildride2012.blogspot.com) is updated complete with route info and the camping arrangements have all been settled. The folks at Sisko's camp have been cool enough to accept our group with open arms. Also - we're printing up a run of shirts to give out until their gone. Beyond that, all is moving along quickly.

Note to Sponsors: - Time is definitely running out fast. Please - please send in your care packages as soon as possible. We want to make sure everything is accounted for and divided up evenly for the raffles as soon as we can. Again, please do not hesitate to send those donations. The mailing address is Speed Club attn: Brian 2366 Como Ave Saint Paul, MN 55108

Lastly, we just want to thank all our sponsors again for the helping hand in getting this trip off the ground. It's a very cool thing you all are doing. Good vibes from us to all of you. Brian - SC

The Lowbrow gang was busy out at the salt flats and STILL somehow managed to put together an amazing care package for the ride complete with sttickers, shirts, banners, and a fucking sweet little DVD collection including a copy of Salt Ghost. Very - Very cool goodies.

Hey man, Pack your shit and let go!
The ride details have finally been posted on the ROUTE page.
Im not much of a planner in general but I think got everything. Bikes, map, cash, food, camping, bear, beers, and even a rain date in case shit goes sideways.

Sisko's!

Sisko's Pine Point Resort - Bar and lake side camping!
These are real cool folks and they're nice enough to welcome our group with open arms. As I mentioned before, the bar is on premises and serves two things. Booze and Pizzas. If you need more, bring it.

Route Details are Finally Shaping Up

Managed to get out over the weekend to nail down the route. Round trip, we're looking at 315 miles including lakes, falls, country roads, small towns, woods and a nice lakeside camping with a bar within walking distance.

St Paul - Stillwater - Taylors Falls - Turtle Lake - Spooner - Hayward and finally a little island just a little further North East. All the roads are in good shape. No construction going on. Posted speeds range from 25 to 55. A fun putt, whatever you cc. Ill post the meet up and camping details tomorrow.

KBass & Deathtraps

Just heard from some more friends on sponsorships. Minnesota local, KBaas and Deathtraps from CA are on it sending some goods for the raffle. We're also working on whipping up a quick online registration form for the ride. We've got a lot of emails from people all over who are interested in attending so I figure we should just let everyone sign up now instead of later to speed things along. check back soon.

The 1st of Many

This is the first of many blog posts for the Wild Ride. I suppose some of you are asking, what exactly is the wild ride? Simply put, it's a weekend of bike riding with friends old and new. We ride, camp, party and ride some more. The Minnesota has a lot of things but a grass roots motorcycle ride it does not, until now. Start to finish, we cover 350 miles or rural road. A chase truck and trailer are provided so if you break down WE WILL PICK YOU UP! The ride is FREE and open to all bikes. Making something like this free is next to impossible without the help of our friends/sponsors. Here's a quick list of who's on board offering support so far. These people are my friends so please check them out.

Chop Cult
Show Class Magazine
HEAVY
FMA
Pabst
Lowbrow Customs
Corpses From Hell
Bubble Visor
Freak Out The Squares
Death Science
Union Speed & Style
50's Haze
Speed Club

There are no gimmicks and there is no cash to speak of. Everything we have and all that we are offering is paid for out of pocket or has been donated by friends from coast to coast. We'll be posting the ride details including meet up time, route, camp info, more sponsor updates and general Q&A along with some general ride/camp suggestions.

Lastly, we're always in need of more sponsors. If anyone out there is into this and wants to contribute, please email me (brian) at info@speedclubinc.com.

Newest Sponsors

Lowbrow Customs of Ohio and Bubble Visor of somewhere in the UK have been jumped in!
We're whipping out a quick site to focus all the ride info so hopefully you will check back often. We have a lot of updates coming up as September approaches. Just received confirmation from Tyler at Lowbrow and Lenny of Bubble Visor. Both sponsors bring a lot to the table and we're hyped up to have them pitch in.
